Alisa was formerly the Associate Marketing Manager - Partnerships & Events at MilwaukeeJobs.com, a nationwide network of local employment Web sites. In this role, Alisa established, nurtured and leveraged strategic company relationships, including prospecting for new relationships with diversity partners (non-profits), professional organizations and universities, in 20 markets. Alisa also managed the authors/articles program - a national network of 150+ authors who contribute career-related content to benefit jobseekers and employers. Additionally, Alisa was the editor/designer/writer/photographer for the company's in-house quarterly newsletter, and wrote content for main market sites, living & working pages, MilwaukeeJobs company profile and TV commercials. One unique facet of her role was being selected as in-house voice talent for LocalJobNetwork television commercials, which aired in major markets such as Milwaukee, Chicago, DC, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas and New York.
Before joining MilwaukeeJobs, Alisa was the Editor/Business Writer of the defunct This Week! Publications, a Journal Communications subsidiary publication/weekly shopper that reached 150,000 households weekly in the Milwaukee area. Her many duties in this role included interviewing, writing, editing, photography, photo editing, ad design and page layout. Alisa's work has also appeared in Community Newspapers, Lake Country Mainstreet and Living on the Lake magazine, and in 2001, she won an award for best editorial entry in the 2001 Wisconsin Free Paper Association competition.
Since, Alisa has consulted for BuySeasons, Slim-Fit, Backyard Bartending, Beyond Home Entertainment, and Fred Boutique, in various roles such as quality control, customer service coaching, Web site design, content writing, creative direction, and fashion merchandising. She also models in local runway shows, and has recently appeared in print campaigns.
Alisa is a founding board member of YP Impact, which was formerly the Young Professionals of Suburban Milwaukee (YPSM). She was the organization's Vice Chair from May 2006 to September 2009, and is currently also the Networking Events Committee Chair. As Chair, Alisa is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing networking events, which are held at various venues in the Milwaukee area. She also delegates volunteers to staff and operate the events.
Since 2002, Alisa has been active in the West Allis community, serving as the 2002 Ms. Western Days, 2004 Miss West Allis/West Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce, and general/board member of the West Allis Charities. She has volunteered for several committees in the West Allis/West Milwaukee Chamber, and is involved with a local chapter of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. In 2003, she was nominated for the University of Wisconsin - Parkside's Distinguished Alumni Service Award. Alisa received her bachelor of arts in communication from the university in 2000.
This professional and volunteer background has allowed Alisa experience in media relations, public relations, relationship building, strategic research, copywriting, editing, account/content management (in-house and Web), community outreach, social media/networking, event planning, company branding, project management, marketing strategies, and HTML formatting.
An avid traveler, Alisa frequently vacations in Scottsdale, Mexico and the Caribbean. Outside of the office, Alisa enjoys writing, consulting, vintage shopping and decorating/organizing friend's homes.
